Corporate Apparel & Promotional Clothing Need Accessment

Before buying custom embroidered apparel, it is important to identify the needs of the individuals who will be wearing the embroidered garment. Some of the things you might consider include:

1. What time of the year will the embroidered apparel be worn? And in what geographical region?
- This will help you determine if you should buy embroidered shirts verses embroidered jackets, long sleeve button downs verses short sleeve polo shirts. For example, if you are buying corporate apparel for a construction crew in Houston in July, you might want to consider a light weight short sleeve shirt or polo shirts in a breathable fabric such as cool mesh pique. On the other hand, if you are buying promotional apparel for a trade show in New Year in december, you might consider a long sleeve work shirt that doesn't wrinkle easily, say a poly/cotton blend fabric.

2. How durable should the garment be? Are you buying corporate apparel as uniform? Or are you buying promotional clothing as gifts?
- This will determine what grade fabric to choose for the custom shirts or outerwear. If you are buying corporate apparel for internal use as uniform shirts, then picking a quality, durable shirt will streth your budget the most in the long run. Look for custom shirts with top stitching on all the seams, a heavier weight fabric, a blend fabric (which retains colors better) and a softer hand feel so people would enjoy wearing it.
- If you are buying custom shirts as promotional clothing for an event or promotion, then cost might be the most important factor. Look for sale items, a lighter weight fabric, and solid colors verses fashion colors.

3. Are you buying embroidered apparel for men? For women? Or both? Do you need tall and larger sized custom apparel?
- More and more corporate women are requesting apparel in women's sizes. Corporate apparel in his and hers matching styles are in great demand. We have expanded our selection to accomodate this need.
See our His & Hers section for all the styles available.
- Another request we hear is corporate clothing in tall and larger sizes. Many of our custom shirts and jackets have sizes up to 4XL. Our work shirts and workwear section has promotional clothing up to 8XL and tall sizes.

4. What is your budget? Is it flexible? Are you most concerned with cost?
- Of course you are concerned with cost. What we're asking you to do is to look at long term cost when buying corporate apparel and promotional clothing. A common mistake people make is buying low grade embroidered shirts that fall apart after 5 or 6 washes. You would have to replace those shirts quickly. This is especailly important for corporate apparel since your employees will be wearing them. For those buying promotional clothing for events and incentive purposes, we understand budget is the primary concern. In that case may we suggest you buy a lower cost item with a higher perceived value. In other words, instead of buying a really cheap polo shirt that will fall apart and no one will wear, buy an item of equal price but higher value and quality, say a really nice custom embroidered cap instead. Remember, your custom logo deserves to be put on the best quality product. Period.

5. Do you need custom embroidery at 1 location? 2 locations?
- All the products you see on AceLogoGear come with 1 logo embroidery at 1 location. The 2nd location embroidery costs extra (see custom embroidery prices for details). If space permits and if budget is a concern, we suggest you put all the information in 1 location. For example, if you want to add an event name to your logo, try to put it under your logo intead of on the sleeve. Your custom embroidery would still be considered 1 location and our generous stitch count limit (8,000) would cover it in most cases.

We want you to be happy with your corporate apparel and promotional clothing purchase, and we hope this information has been helpful to you. If you have any questions about choosing the right corporate apparel item, email us at help@hatsnshirts.com.
